Your omega-6: omega-3 ratio is one of the strongest predictors of your overall health. Understanding how much inflammation is occurring in your body can help you to address any chronic conditions or chronic pain you may be trying to manage. Most importantly, please understand that these conditions are often reversible!

The Holman kit is an at-home testing method where a blood spot sample is obtained through a finger prick and applied to their testing materials. These are then mailed to Lipid Technologies where they will analyze the sample using their precision proprietary method for omega-3 analysis. 

The test identifies your complete fatty acid profile including your omega-3 index, your omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acid levels, your omega-3 and omega-6 ratios as well as 30 other lipid parameters.

 · You will complete a health history form  that Terri will review in advance of the consult. (link)

· We will discuss your Holman Omega-3 test results and combine this with  information you shared in your health history about your past and current diet and lifestyle factors.

· We will then review what food, supplement and lifestyle choices appear to be appropriate for you to improve your omega-6:omega-3 ratio. 

One of the primary focuses will be identifying the heathy and unhealthy fats in your current diet.
